B. Braun Indonesia Distributed Medical Devices in Support of Cianjur Earthquake Relief Efforts
26 December 2022 – B. Braun Indonesia delivered over 1,000 medical devices in support of the relief efforts for the earthquake in Cianjur district last November.
This donation was distributed to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital ("RSCM"), Jakarta to then be distributed and used by hospitals around Cianjur where victims were treated. The delivery was made from the storage location, directly to the RSCM in early December.
President Director of B. Braun Indonesia, Rainer Ruppel, said the assistance is a form of B. Braun's commitment as a company that is responsible for protecting and improving the quality of public health in Indonesia.
“For nearly 40 years, B. Braun has had a presence in Indonesia, providing products and services focused on process optimization, security, partnerships, and progress. Today, we continue our commitment to this nation by actively supporting medical workers in responding to natural disasters," he added.
The medical devices delivered included Spinocan, a needle used by medical personnel for spinal anesthesia and lumbar spine diagnosis; Stimuplex Ultra 360, a needle designed to perform ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks and nerve stimulation; and Takipril, a local anesthetic using an infiltration technique.
"We hope to continue to contribute sustainably to improve the health of the Indonesian people," concluded Rainer.
