Running Virtually to Donate, B. Braun Indonesia Engages Employees to Support Children with Cancer
18 August 2022 – B. Braun Indonesia presented a donation of EUR 5.000 to the Yayasan Pita Kuning Indonesia, a philanthropic foundation for children aged 18 years and below from underprivileged families, who are stricken with cancer. The donation aims to help improve the quality of life and provide psychosocial services for these children and their families.
As part of the B. Braun Asia Pacific Virtual Charity Run 2022, B. Braun engaged its employees to run virtually from 1 May to 31 July with the aim of unlocking a total donation of EUR 80.000 for 17 charities across the region. In line with this, B. Braun Indonesia selected Pita Kuning as its designated charity organisation. Over the course of 13 weeks, some 1.677 B. Braun colleagues participated in the run and recorded a total of 229,117 KM.
The handover of the donation was done by Mrs. Sri Sulistiowati and Mrs. Enny Indrayanti, in their capacity as representatives of the Management Board of B. Braun Indonesia, at Pita Kuning’s office, in South Jakarta today.
“We are very happy to be the part of Pita Kuning family and to participate in their psychosocial program for children with cancer, together with their families. We hope this donation will bring a positive impact to the children and that B. Braun and Pita Kuning are able to join hands again in the future,” said Mrs. Enny.
Yayasan Pita Kuning Indonesia thanked B. Braun Indonesia for their concern for the children with cancer. They hoped that the Foundation and B. Braun Indonesia would collaborate continuously in the future. Previous collaboration has brought many positive impacts since it emphasizes the importance of cancer in children and its early detection as the main key.
