B. Braun Indonesia Invites Families to Optimize First Aid for Treating Wounds at Home

Did you know that a first aid kit or first aid kit at home can help prevent the severity of injuries effectively? It turns out that it is very important to have a first aid kit at home. Moreover, accidents or injuries can happen anywhere, including when we cook, clean the house, get injured while traveling, or when children are playing. Because if the wound is not treated immediately, it can cause infection or become a chronic wound. Apart from that, treating wounds can be done with the equipment in the first aid kit.

However, many people still don't understand the importance of a home first aid kit for treating wounds. For this reason, B. Braun Indonesia invites its employees to learn more about first aid in wound care. Through the wound care management workshop "Prontosan di Rumahku" or Prontosan at My House on May 14, 2024, in a hybrid manner at the Head Office of B. Braun Indonesia, Jakarta. The resource persons present were the team from Wound Management B. Braun Indonesia. The material presented is about how to care for wounds, so they don't become chronic.

The keynote speaker also explained the differences in types of injuries. Wounds are divided into two categories, namely acute wounds, and chronic wounds. Acute wounds are wounds that have just occurred with indications of bleeding that can heal within a maximum period of 4-6 weeks. Meanwhile, chronic wounds are wounds that are also caused by comorbid diseases such as diabetes wounds, pressure sores and venous wounds, with indications that healing takes more than 6 weeks. Both of these injuries are common in the environment, so it is very important for families to ensure proper care.

Through this workshop, which was attended by more than 100 participants, employees are expected to be able to apply it in their respective home environments. Not only that, the B. Braun Indonesia Wound Management team also introduced the Prontosan product as a wound care solution that is effective and safe to use for all ages. Prontosan can also be one of the equipment that must be in the first aid kit. In fact, the benefits are better than ordinary antiseptic fluids. Does not cause pain or irritation on the skin. Prontosan comes in the form of wound cleansing fluid and gel for wound care, such as Prontosan Wound Solution, Prontosan Wound Gel, and Prontosan Wound Gel X.
