Reposable Trocar System
A combination of single and multiple-use components
The Trocar system combines the handling advantages of disposables with the economic benefits of a reusable system.
Seals
- Two integrated tear-resistant sealing systems to preserve the pneuroperitoneum.
- Problem-free suture application or removal of resected material.
- Reduced friction for instrument protection.
- Single-handed instrument change.
Universal seal
- No adaptors or reducing sleeves required - suitable for all 2 - 12 mm diameter instruments.
- Floating head for precise alignment of the cap with the trocar lumen according to the instrument diameter used.
- Bayonet connector for simple adaptation.
- The same seal can be used for 11 mm and 12 mm diameter trocars.
- Stopcock integrated.
- We recommend that this sealing be used with instruments and electrodes.
Premium seal
- The same seal can be used for 11 mm and 12 mm diameter trocars.
- 5 mm adaptor for spontaneous conversion from endoscopic access to working trocar.
- Bayonet connector for simple adaptation.
- Stopcock integrated.
- We recommend that this sealing be used with the endoscope.
5 mm diameter seal
- Two options - with or without stopcock
- Bayonet connector for simple adaptation
Trocar sleeves
- Stainless steel for long life.
- Made from one piece - no moving parts, no welds.
- Easy to clean and sterilise.
- Matt surface reduces dazzle.
- Optional threaded surface for improved grip during instrument manipulation.
- Chamfered tip for easy and gentle insertion of the trocar body.
Disposable obturators
- Various geometries, allwith protective mechanism.
- Visible indicator on the head of the obturator shows whether the protective mechanism is active.
- Very little force required to introduce the obturator.
- Protective mechanism facilitates precise positioning of the cutting edges for the abdominal incision.
Re-usable obturators
- With triangular tip.
- Blunt obturator for mini-laparotomy (Hasson trocar).
Stabilising cone
- For use with the blunt obturator in mini-laparotomy procedures.
- Can be used with 11 / 12 mm diameter trocar sleeves.
- Reduces intraoperative CO2 leaks.
- Conductive material avoids capacity effects when using electrosurgery.
- Insufflation needle / Veress cannula
- Single-use - always sharp, no cleaning problems.
- Available in two lengths: 120 mm / 150 mm
- Coloured safety ring provides visual check when penetrating the abdominal wall.
- Audible click on penetration of the abdominal wall as an additional safety feature.
