B. Braun Indonesia Receives PROPERDA JABAR 2024
B. Braun Indonesia once again demonstrates its commitment to the environment by winning the prestigious Program Penilaian Peringkat Kinerja Perusahaan Daerah (PROPERDA) Jawa Barat 2024 award.
B. Braun Indonesia once again demonstrates its commitment to the environment by winning the prestigious Program Penilaian Peringkat Kinerja Perusahaan Daerah (PROPERDA) Jawa Barat 2024 award. The award was received by Anggy Sari, EHSS & SM Assistant Manager of B. Braun Indonesia, at a ceremony held at Asialink Premier Hotel, Karawang, on Tuesday, December 19, 2024. The award was presented by Willyanto Salmon, S.Sos., MM, Head of the Environmental Management Division of the Karawang Regency Environmental Service.
PROPERDA JABAR is a program aimed at encouraging companies in West Java to comply with environmental regulations and contribute to environmental sustainability. This award is a form of appreciation for B. Braun Indonesia's commitment to maintaining and improving environmental standards in the region.
Since early 2024, B. Braun Indonesia has taken significant steps to support green energy by installing a 1.2 MWp solar power plant at its pharmaceutical factory in Karawang, West Java. This installation has reduced carbon emissions by up to 25%, equivalent to 346 tons of carbon emissions per year. Additionally, the solar power plant meets approximately 20-30% of the factory's electricity needs, thus reducing reliance on fossil fuels. This initiative aligns with the Indonesian government's program to achieve a 23% renewable energy mix by 2025 and Net Zero Emission by 2060.
