Nosocomial infections or Healthcare Associated Infections (“HAIs”) are cross-infections that occur in nurses or patients during treatment therapy at Health Service Facilities (“FASYANKES”). HAIs can also cause sufferers to experience sepsis or a collection of clinical symptoms due to the body's response to infection. For this reason, this year's Hand Hygiene Day commemoration raises the theme of the importance of sharing knowledge about hand hygiene for health workers or health workers and health service providers to optimize the quality of patient therapy and minimize the risk of HAIs.
